COMPLIANCE WITH THE L.R.A.

We operate on the premise that to request / source and refer information with regard to an applicant’s age, sex, medical history, criminal record, credit record and marital status is not, per se, contrary to the provisions of the Labour Relations and Employment Equity Acts. Rather, it is the use of this information by an employer to unfairly or unreasonably discriminate against a potential employee that is illegal.

We will therefore source and communicate such information to our clients if we are satisfied that they will not use that information to discriminate unreasonably against an applicant.

HEAD HUNTING POLICY

Our policy in this regard is clear. We have developed strong relationships with one or two well respected clients in each business sector, and once these relationships are established, our clients are given a formal undertaking that we will, under no circumstances, attempt to source candidates from their organisations. Those companies with whom we are in no way connected are then used as a source of potential applicants.
